SCULPTURE
SCULPTURE
Inspiration for the sculptures that I create come from many different places. Found materials such as a beautiful
piece of driftwood, a sunset, or an athlete, can all be translated into a beautiful piece of art. Some of my sculptures are playful, while others try to capture the movement of a living being.

Leap! $450
The inspiration for Leap! comes from my long career as a gymnastics coach, and the dynamic beauty of athletes in motion. Capturing a specific moment in time, Leap! shows the gracefulness and strength of the performer, and the materials. Made from a bent lamination of Sapele and Maple, steel, magnets.

River Spirit 1 & 2 (SOLD)
The River Spirits were waiting to be discovered inside a piece of driftwood brought back from a rafting trip on the Salmon River. Letting the grain of the wood guide my cut I immediately began to smell the scent of Cedar and my anticipation of what was inside increased. With the cut finished I opened the wood to find these two beautiful creatures!
